With Petrobras operating almost 90% of national production, the state-owned company managed in the third quarter of this year, with oil exports, to surpass agribusiness and mining in the export agenda. The announcement was made this Friday (8) by the company’s president, Magda Chambriand.
“We reached the milestone of Brazil’s first export product with crude oil. We surpassed soybean meal, agribusiness, mining and iron exports and became capable of offering the country an immense contribution to the first product on Brazil’s export list, crude oil, produced mainly by Petrobras”, he informed.
Petrobras brought some operational highlights such as, in September, the unprecedented milestone in Brazil of 3 billion barrels of oil and accumulated production achieved by the Tupi Shared Deposit and the Iracema area.

Compared to the same period of the previous year, there was an increase of 22.3%. The distribution of R$17.1 billion in dividends to the company’s shareholders was also announced.
The executive assesses the results as solid and consistent and above sector expectations. “Results that exceeded the best market expectations. Last quarter, we had strong cash flow both due to oil exploration and production and refining, natural gas. In this quarter, therefore, what we are reaffirming is the success of the choices we made. We have debt at the lowest level since 2008. Today, we are responsible for generating 31% of all primary energy in our country”, he highlighted.
