Santo Domingo.-This weekend the downpours Moderate with isolated thunderstorms, due to a disturbance zone to the north of the island and a trough at all levels of the troposphere, which will induce humidity and instability to generate some cloudy increases.
For this Saturday, the disorganized low pressure zone will be located in the northwest of the country, which together with the trough at altitude and the effects of diurnal warming will keep the environment humid and unstable to cause moderate to strong downpours, thunderstorms and gusts in the morning hours. of wind, mainly, over locations on the northern, northeastern, eastern slopes, the Caribbean coastal coast, as well as the Central mountain range and the border area.
The Dominican Institute of Meteorology (Indomet) specified that they will feel these effects especially towards Monte Plata, La Altagracia, El Seibo, El Gran Santo Domingo, Hato Mayor, Samaná, Sánchez Ramírez, Duarte, San Cristóbal, María Trinidad Sánchez, San Pedro de Macorís, Monseñor Nouel, Peravia and La Vega.

The provinces on yellow alert are Puerto Plata, María Trinidad Sánchez, Duarte, Samaná and Altagracia.
Meanwhile, the COE said that Monte Cristi, Dajabón, Santiago, Valverde, Santiago Rodríguez, Espaillat, Hermanas Mirabal, Monseñor Nouel, Pedernales, Barahona, El Seibo, Hato Mayor and San Pedro de Macorís are on green alert.
Indomet reported that on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean, from Montecristi to Cabo Engaño, La Altagracia, small and medium-sized boat operators are recommended to navigate close to the coastal perimeter, without venturing out to sea, due to moderate wind with occasional gusts and abnormal waves between 7 to 9 feet tall.
But, on the Caribbean coast, the waves remain normal, favorable conditions for all boats to navigate, reported Indomet.
