The member of the Supreme Electoral Tribunal (TSE) Tahuichi Tahuichi Quispe reported this Thursday morning that the Plurinational Constitutional Court (TCP) has not yet notified the TSE with any resolution to paralyze the judicial elections.
“To date, we have not been notified with any resolution. from the Constitutional Court in the sense that this electoral process is paralyzed or partially affected,” he said.
This statement comes after it became known that the Constitutional Court had declared, on November 4, the call to elect the magistrates is void of the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) in the departments of Beni and Pando, and of the TCP in Pando, Cochabamba, Santa Cruz, Beni and Tarija.
However, since there is no notification yet, “the judicial electoral process continues with absolute normality,” added the member Tahuichi.
The Vice Minister of Communication, Gabriela Alcón, in another statement before journalists, indicated that she learned of this information only through the media.
“We will have to see the reasons, I have no (official) information, But for us as a government, respect for the Constitution and holding the elections will always (come first),” said Alcón.
Judicial elections are called for next month. They were initially set for December 1, but then, due to the evista road blockade, they were postponed to the 15th of the same month.
However, the entire candidate selection process in the Legislative Assembly was eventful because, with a series of judicial appeals, it has been paralyzed on several occasions.
