The Colombian Institute for the Evaluation of Education (Icfes) published the list of the cities that obtained the best scores in the Saber11 2024 tests.

On August 18, nearly 640,000 students from all over the country solved the questionnaire that was graded on the basis of 500 points, being Valeria Diaz Gonzalezstudent at the Nuestra Señora del Rosario School in Floridablanca (Santander), who got the best score at the national level (450/500).
In the list of the best scores of Calendar A schools and by city, published last November 1 by the Ministry of Education, Barranquilla appears in second place with an exam of 480 points out of a possible 500. Third place went to Cartagena with a test result of 477/500.
They are followed by Armenia (476), Casanare (476), Sincelejo (475), Bogotá (473), Cúcuta (473), Malambo (Atlántico) (473), Cundinamarca (471), Barrancabermeja (470), Manizales (468), Soacha (468), Sucre (458), Córdoba (457), Lorica (453) and Duitama (452).
It is striking among Cali residents that the ‘Sultana del Valle’ does not appear in the first 20 places in the ranking, which is why many wonder if the schools in the capital of Valle del Cauca failed in the exam that is an essential requirement for admission to higher education in Colombia.
It is worth noting that the minimum score on the Saber11 tests for a student to aspire to a Generation-E scholarship awarded by the Ministry of Education is 350 points.
In addition to complying with that item, applicants for the scholarship given by the Government must be registered in Sisbén IV, with a score of less than 4.
