PriceTravel Holding, dedicated to the distribution of tourism products, is preparing to be a global brand. In some business segments where it participates, it wants to have the relevance of Booking or Expedia. The brand of Latin American origin has a total commitment to the development of technology.
There are now offices in Mexico, Colombia, the United States, Peru, Ecuador, Chile and Brazil. Eventually in a couple of years they will have a physical presence in Europe or Asia. “The path is clear. We have been registering exponential growth. Last year we surpassed the milestone of 1,000 million dollars in turnover and at the end of 2024 we will also surpass it because we are listening to and quickly addressing the needs of our buyers,” commented its general director, Jorge Restrepo.
Its product portfolio includes hotels, flights and packages. At the current juncture, it cannot stop the pace and, therefore, its technical team is preparing to add extra hotel offerings: vacation rentals and apartments, among others, because it is something that they have asked for in their different lines of communication.
In a press conference, the manager said that on their platform they register one million requests per minute, which they can technically support due to the resources they have allocated and generating efficiencies at all times, but they want more.
“Tourism will continue to grow around the world and we want to be a global company that is characterized by its technological developments and valuable content, including hyper-personalization that allows those who search to find what they are looking for,” he added.
PriceTravel Holding products can be purchased through its B2C business unit: pricetravel.com and tiquetesbaratos, from its B2B model that exclusively serves retail travel agents: priceagencies in Mexico, Colombia and the US, as well as for wholesale agencies with its PriceTravel Connect brand.
Its B2B2C model provides the best technology and booking engine through its PriceAffiliates brand. In addition to their business model, specialists in meeting tourism and corporate travel with the BTC (Business Travel Consulting) brand.
The Dominican market
In its process of increasing global presence, PriceTravel Holding, announced an alliance with Arajet.
“This alliance enhances the importance of commercial relations in the tourism sector. With this agreement, both companies seek to facilitate the access of more travelers to attractive destinations at competitive prices, encouraging and promoting tourism in the region,” Jorge Restrepo said at the time.
This week it reported its rapid growth among Mexicans to travel to Las Vegas, considering the number of reservations. From January 1 to September 10, 2024, the number of Mexican passengers who booked their trip to Las Vegas grew 65% compared to the same period in 2023, consolidating this destination as the number one in the international category, according to the company.
