Drivers of the BRT system (double buses with exclusive lanes) in Rio de Janeiro went on strike this morning (25). According to the city hall, two of the three BRT corridors are stopped (Transcarioca and Transolímpica).
Only the BRT Transoeste is operating using common buses. Many people are currently at the stations, but the city government advises them to look for another alternative to get around.
The prefecture informed, in a note, that it is trying to negotiate with the system’s drivers.
