Huancayo: Construction workers paralyze hospital work due to lack of payment

Construction workers at the El Carmen II hospital, in the province of Huancayo, stopped their work in solidarity with a group of unpaid workers for three months. They are waiting for the contractor company’s statement or for the Junín Regional Government to intercede.

The secretary of the Mantaro Valley Union, Ulises Huamán, pointed out that there are around 120 workers who complied with the measure of struggle, to demand payment from the workers in the air conditioning area, since they called and tried to communicate with the subcontractor, but did not. They received no response.
