“There are those of us who cannot understand, nor do we accept, that attempts are being made to impose a regressive, fascist, violent model in Venezuela,” emphasized the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, during his participation in the closing of the World Parliamentary Forum Against FascismNeofascism and Similar Expressions.
In that sense, he highlighted that on July 29 and 30, the Venezuelan people with their votes and with the humanist street force put a “stop to the resurgence of fascist forces.”
Maduro pointed out to North American imperialism and its satellite countries in America and Europe that their objective was to destabilize and destroy the humanist, socialist and Bolivarian model founded by the commander [Hugo] Chavez.
“Venezuela has the moral, political and spiritual strength to follow the paths against fascism and defeat any current that seeks to establish a neocolonial ideology,” he pointed out.
Fascism in Western political culture
The first national leader stated that fascism is deeply rooted in the Western political culture of capitalism and imperialism; However, he predicted that the 21st century will be different and will continue its course so that “a different world” emerges.
“We see the birth pangs of the birth of this new world,” he stressed.
Likewise, he affirmed that the leaders of the free world cannot accept the genocide against the people of Palestine and Lebanon; nor the support for Nazi currents in Ukraine and the threat against Russia; or the attempted secession of Taiwan from the People’s Republic of China.
Finally, he thanked the parliamentary delegations of the world who gathered in Caracas for the global fight against intolerance, extremism, fascism, Zionism, neo-fascism and all similar currents.
