Santo Domingo.- The Minister of the Interior and Police of the Dominican Republic, Faride Raful, denied the “alleged reduction in repatriations at the request of Haiti”, as stated by the Haitian Foreign Minister, Dominique Dupuy, who maintained that Haiti celebrates the “reduction in deportations” of its citizens from Dominican territory as a result of its efforts and solidarity with international allies.
«We categorically deny any claim about an alleged reduction in repatriations at the request of Haiti. The statements of the Haitian Foreign Minister @DominiqueAyiti are false and seek to interfere in our internal affairs. #Dominican Sovereignty,” Raful said on his social network account X (formerly Twitter).
Raful made it clear that the Dominican Government maintains its firm commitment to repatriate 10,000 undocumented migrants every week, always within the framework of the law and respecting human rights, but without giving in to external pressures.
