Cicpc denies false WhatsApp chains about child kidnapping

The general director of the Corps of Scientific Criminal and Criminal Investigations (Cicpc), Commissioner Douglas Rico, pointed out that there have been no kidnappings of minors for the purpose of trafficking in organs.

This was stated in his account on the social network Instagram, noting that “in relation to the information that is generated through social networks and WhatsApp groups, disclosing the alleged kidnapping and trafficking of children’s organs in Venezuelan territory, the Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigation Corps (Cicpc) reports that such events have not arisen and we have not received any complaint in this regard.”

Rico urged the population “not to echo false information that threatens the peace of the population, specifically parents and representatives, generating anxiety and risking the mental health of citizens.”

He also urged the population to report immediately if they are victims of any crime.
