The Electoral Court presented final results of the national elections

The Frente Amplio stood out as the party with the most votes, with 1,071,826 votes, which represented 43.85% of the total votes. This result places the party in first place, followed by the National Party, which obtained 655,426 votes (26.81%).

Both parties will face each other in the runoff on November 24.

Results of the main political forces

The Colorado Party placed third, with 392,529 votes and 16.06% of the total votes. Meanwhile, Cabildo Abierto registered 60,549 votes, 2.47%, followed by the Independent Party, which reached 41,619 votes (1.7%). Other parties, such as the Constitutional Environmentalist Party, obtained 11,865 votes, equivalent to 0.48%.

For its part, Sovereign Identity consolidated itself as the fourth political force alone with 65,796 votes, 2.69% of the total, placing itself outside the official and opposition blocs. Meanwhile, Popular Assembly, PERI, Party for Necessary Changes and Republican Advance also participated in the race, with minor results.

Balance between political blocks

The sum of votes of the parties that make up the official bloc reached a total of 1,162,050 votes, equivalent to 47.55% of the total, surpassing the opposition bloc by 90,224 votes, which represents a difference of 3.7%.
Blank, annulled votes and participation in plebiscites

The Electoral Court also reported that 32,256 blank votes and 52,750 annulled votes were counted, in addition to 34,383 votes destined for one of the plebiscite ballots.
