THE Brazil Agency was the winner in the news agency category at 4th Einstein+Admired Awards from the Health, Science and Wellbeing Press. It is the second time that the Brazil Agency wins the award.
The awards ceremony took place on Monday night (4). In total, 280 journalists and 176 media outlets were nominated. The winners were chosen in an open vote for journalists, press officers and media outlets. Promoted by Sociedade Beneficente Israelita Brasileira Albert Einstein in partnership with Jornalistas&Cia, the award recognizes the work of professionals and media outlets that work in covering health, science and well-being.
Journalist Paula Laboissière, from Brazil Agencywas the winner in the category of the most admired journalists in the Central-West region and in the TOP25 most admired journalists. The professional receives, for the second time, the regional award. 17 years ago in Brazil Agencymost of these years dedicated to covering the health and science area, she was grateful for the recognition.
“For me, this award shows that health journalism has not only survived difficult periods, complicated periods, but that it has been growing and it continues, it certainly continues forward and it is one of the awards that we realize the strength of journalism that EBC and the Brazil Agency they do today,” he said.
Journalist Patrícia Serrão, from National Radio Agencywas also the winner in the category of the 25 most admired journalists in Health, Science and Wellbeing. She cited the podcast as a differentiator of the vehicle’s coverage. Rare Storieswhich tells the stories of people with rare diseases.
“We can tell these stories, and we can do quality public journalism, and have recognition for our fight for public journalism, our fight for space, for stories that deserve to be told and that perhaps don’t have space in the media commercial. Having this recognition is very important.”

At the awards ceremony, the TOP 5 +Admired Health and Wellbeing Journalists in Brazil, the +Admired Journalist Specializing in Science, the +Admired Columnist, the five regional champions and the winners in the seven vehicle categories were announced.
