Minister Santivañez continues to deny relationship with PNP agent 'Culebra': "I said that (the audios) are fake"

During your visit to the city of Cuscothe head of the Ministry of the Interior, Juan José Santivañezspoke about the new audios published for the Sunday program Fourth Estatewhich imply an alleged relationship between him and Colonel PNP Junior Izquierdonicknamed ‘Snake’. Santivañez assured that these audios are completely false: “Once again, as a rehash, they have released some alleged audios that link me to this police officer or agent ‘Culebra,’ and I have said that they are fakeâ€. While insisting on its lack of authenticity, Santivañez stated that these audios only represent an attempt by the program to increase its audience rating: “(…) They are not true; “Cuarto Poder has its way of raising the rating.”

Likewise, the current Minister of the Interior once again attacked the press for the questions against him and assured that there is a different treatment when it comes to other political figures. “It is different (…) when they arrive and seat the prosecutorMarita Barreto and she says it’s not her audio either. “There they are defenders,” the minister excused.

Santivañez assured that he will submit to the corresponding expert opinion to demonstrate the falsehood of the published audios: “We have already requested it, on repeated occasions my defense has requested it from the prosecution. (…) What’s more: I have voluntarily presented myself to the prosecution, renouncing my right to secrecy of telecommunications. (…).

Audios would evidence Santivañez’s knowledge of the special protection for Vladimir Cerrón

The conversations published by Fourth Estate last Sunday they would demonstrate the knowledge of the Minister Santivañez on the protection provided by senior officers of the General Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of the Interior (DIGIMIN) to the fugitive Vladimir Cerrón.

Juan José Santiváñez:“The information I have about these guys is that there are two generals who are protecting Cerrón.”

Junior Izquierdo ‘Culebra:“There. In activity?”

Juan José Santiváñez:“In activity. But there are two, two this… generals… and a retired general, who has been DIGIMIN.”

Junior Izquierdo ‘Culebra:“Retired general who has been DIGIMIN?”

Juan José Santiváñez:“Monar”

Junior Izquierdo ‘Culebra:“Who?”

Juan José Santiváñez:“Monar”

Everything indicates that Sergio Luis Antonio Monar Moyoliretired general and former director general of the DIGIMIN During the period between December 2023 and March 2024, he would have protected Vladimir Cerrón from his position, frustrating various capture initiatives. This fact generates greater alarm, given that it was precisely Monar who was appointed to lead the search, location and capture of the former governor of Junín.

During the time when Monar led DIGIMINa capture operation was carried out in the condominium Mykonos directed against Vladimir Cerrón. Various security forces and intelligence entities participated in this intervention, such as the National Intelligence Directorate (DINI), the Special Group Against Organized Crime (GRECCO), members of the Tactical Actions Sub Unit (SUAT) and the Intelligence Directorate (DIRIN). However, weeks later, on February 24, the driver of the presidential vehicle known as ‘Chest’, Felix Montalvodeclared before the Public Ministry that had transported the president Dina Boluarte to that same place where Cerrón Rojas was found.
