A new week has started in the camp of the Bolivian soccer team, which is preparing to face another double date of the South American Qualifiers, where it must visit Ecuador on Thursday, November 14, and host Paraguay on Tuesday, the 19th.

This Monday, those led by Óscar Villegas trained at the Rafael Mendoza Castellón stadium in Achumani. Before practice, two players spoke in a mixed zone; one of them was Robson Matheus, who recognized that this week will be key, given that the physical loads will begin to increase.

“It will always be a pride to defend these colors. Now (Monday) we begin to increase the loads in training; There will be greater intensity and we will focus fully on what Ecuador is. We have to continue preparing in the best way to arrive in optimal conditions for that match,” said Robson.

“We have not yet had much contact with Óscar Villegas; We have dedicated ourselves a lot to the physical part. Starting this week we will work more with Óscar; He will give us his tactical concepts and tell us what he intends to apply against Ecuador and Paraguay,” he added.

The flyer referred to the challenge of visiting Guayaquil, a fairly hot city located 4 meters above sea level. “We also have a fairly hot city like Santa Cruz; We are used to it and we must adapt to any terrain. We are prepared for that; Most of us were born in Santa Cruz and we are adapted.”

Finally, he spoke about the objectives set by the Green team on the last double qualifying date of the year. Robson believes that the dream of reaching the World Cup “is still intact.”

“The objectives are clear; We know we can add. We have to work twice as hard and remain humble; we have not achieved anything. There are very tough games coming up and our dream of reaching the World Cup remains intact,” he said.
