Evo reveals that minister sent him a shotgun

Evo Morales admitted yesterday that he has two shotguns in his possession. The former authority said that he uses them for his “chaco” and that one of these weapons was sent directly by the Minister of Government, Eduardo del Castillo. The authority did not speak about this case and blamed Morales for organizing a “destabilization agenda” in the country.

“Of course, before, When I worked in the Chaco, we always had a shotgun. Who doesn’t have (a) shotgun in eastern Bolivia? When I returned from Argentina, when I started working in the Chaco and (became) a small farmer, I bought a shotgun,” Morales admitted in a first statement on his Sunday radio show Kawsachun Coca.

“I asked the Government Minister by telephone to give me authorization (for its use), (because) I have to comply with the law, I asked. He told me, I didn’t ask for a shotgun, (but) a license. “I (was) waiting for my license to arrive and I received a licensed shotgun,” said the former president.

Del Castillo stated, in a press conference last week, that the coca leader has at least three weapons and that two of them are registered with the Registry of Firearms and Ammunition for Civil Use (Reafuc). These are two shotguns and a revolver, whose registration was refusedalthough the authority did not explain the reasons.

Del Castillo addressed the issue one day after a police operation on the highway between the municipality of Villa Tunari and the town of Lauca Ñ, in Chimoré, from which Morales and his entourage “fled.”

It is time for Mr. Morales to reconsider and abandon this agenda of confrontation,” said Del Castillo.

On Saturday, Morales called Del Castillo “crazy” and blamed him for the alleged use of firearms against the population of Parotani, where the Bolivian Police and military unblocked the highway last Friday.
