Agents of the Central Investigation Directorate (DICRIM), in coordination with the Public Ministry, they dismantled four drug points and seized 36 slot machines in targeted operations on Friday night in the Villa Consuelo, Capotillo, Villa Francisca and San Carlos sectors, in the National District.
The Department of Investigation of Crimes and Crimes against Property was in charge of the operation, in which ten alleged criminals were detained for investigation purposes.
In La 42 de Capotillo and other intervened sectors, controlled substances handled by individuals nicknamed “APA” and “El Fuerte” were seized. Among what was seized were 110.1 grams of a white powder, presumably cocaine; three and a half pounds of a green vegetable, presumably marijuana; and a black Reebok brand package that contained six Tanita brand digital scales, two digital weighing towers, a jar of suspected marijuana gummies, and other items.

The operation was carried out by the Operational Department II of Investigation of Crimes and Crimes against Property, with the participation of divisions in María Auxiliadora (C-2), San Carlos (C-4) and Ensanche Luperón (C-7). Their objective was to remove slot machines, since they encourage the participation of young people and children in gambling, economically affecting their families.
Other objects seized include a pair of police handcuffs, a 10-inch metal knife, three boxes of dental and antiviral medications, two boxes of sexual stimulants, a laptop, 36 slot machines, a black speaker and four backpacks of different brands.
During the intervention in Capotillo, on 42nd Street, the investigators were attacked with stones by individuals who noticed the police presence; no injuries were reported.
The names of those arrested are being withheld while the investigation continues. The detainees and the seized drugs will be sent to the National Drug Control Directorate (DNCD), and the other items will remain under the control of the Public Ministry for the pertinent legal purposes.
