The city of São Paulo dawned wet and rainy this Sunday (3) and is expected to continue with unstable weather and rising temperatures. According to the automatic meteorological stations of the Emergency Management Center (CGE) of the city of São Paulo, the average minimum temperature in the morning was 19° degrees Celsius (ºC). During the day, rain continues due to the spread of a trough, an area of low pressure. The heaviest rain is forecast for the afternoon.
According to the CGE, attention is needed as waterlogged soil increases the potential for flooding and landslides in risk areas. However, there is still no area under attention.
CGE meteorologists explain that the combination of closed weather and high levels of humidity does not allow the temperature to rise much. Because of this, the predicted maximum is 23°C. The lowest humidity percentages must be above 70%.
CGE data shows that up to this point, the month of November has recorded 22.4 millimeters (mm) of rain, which corresponds to 16.5% of the 135.7 mm expected for the month.
The latest meteorological radar images indicate the presence of areas of low-intensity instability in the region of São Paulo, Vale do Paraíba, Litoral Sul and Baixada Santista.
