The former president of Bolivia Evo Morales pointed out that he is convinced of the need to find solutions to the problems that the Bolivian people face today.
The former president of Bolivia Evo Morales began, this Saturday, November 2, a hunger strike with the aim of pressing for a dialogue with the Government of Luis Arce, after 19 days of protests and road blockades by his followers in Bolivia.
In this sense, the former president indicated that he is convinced of the need to find solutions to the problems that the Bolivian people face today. “The revolutionaries do not give up or give up. We will remain firm in the defense of better days for our country and we demand the immediate release of the comrades unjustly arrested during the day of protest,” he said.

Morales said that he hopes that dialogue tables will be established and pointed out that for it to be viable, responsible and have results, the participation of international organizations from friendly countries is necessary. According to the former president, “the economic issue” and “the political issue” should be discussed in two tables.

He explained that at the first table he hopes to discuss with the Administration of his former minister the crisis derived from the lack of dollars that has restricted fuel imports that Bolivia sells at a subsidized price.
Regarding the “political issue,” he hoped that the situation of “unjustly detained and imprisoned leaders” can be addressed within the framework of the protest that, along with other followers, began 19 days ago against their probable arrest for a case of statutory rape. which allegedly occurred when he was president in 2015.
“When processes correspond to them, let them be processed, but not because they are mobilized or because of ideological differences,” Morales argued.
