The Northern Electricity Distribution Company (EDENORTE) achieved a score of 99.22 out of 100 in the evaluation of Ethics and Government Integrity, carried out by the Directorate of Transparency and Open Government, a rating that reflects the institution’s commitment to transparency and good public management.
Andrés Cueto, general administrator of EDENORTE, expressed his satisfaction with the results and assured that the score is a testimony to the collective effort and dedication of the entire team.
“This score is a testament to the collective effort of our entire team to implement transparency and accountability practices. Our goal is to reach 100% and continue strengthening citizen confidence.”
Cueto indicated that the institution is on the right path and promised to continue creating strategies to achieve efficient and high-quality service.
“We are proud to know that we are on the right path, but we are not complacent. “We will continue working to perfect processes and guarantee quality service to users.”
The official reaffirmed his commitment to ethics, transparency and integrity, positioning himself as a role model in the Dominican public sector.
“The commitment to transparency not only improves our management, but also promotes a culture of integrity in the institution,” Cueto concluded.
The evaluation covered different aspects, including the legal basis of the institution, the legal framework of the transparency system, the management of the Office of Free Access to Information (OAI), and the organizational structure. In all these items, EDENORTE met the required standards, standing out in areas such as purchasing and contracting management, as well as human resources management and assistance programs.
The report also points out the importance of maintaining an effective transparency portal, where citizens can easily access relevant information about the company’s management.
