Today the legislative resolution that approves the legislative agenda of the Congress of the Republic for the 2024-25 annual session.
The aforementioned document was approved, days ago, by the Plenary of the Legislature by 65 votes; Its preparation corresponded to the parliamentary groups, the 24 ordinary commissions and the presidency of the Council of Ministers, having as objectives democracy and the rule of law, equity and social justice, competitiveness in the country and an efficient, transparent and decentralized State.
Among the bills included in the framework of strengthening the democratic regime and the rule of law are the reforms to the Regulations of Congress for its operation and adaptation to bicameralism, the constitutional reforms on positions of popular representation and senior public officials; also measures against extortion and organized crime, citizen security measures related to vehicles and transportation, the penitentiary system and reparations to the State and society and modifications to the Penal Code.

Regarding equity and social justice, the agenda includes State actions against discrimination and social inequality, the improvement of the national Education curriculum, the training of teachers, the creation, incorporation and naming of universities, schools and educational institutes, the updating of remuneration scales in the Public Sector and the change of CAS contracts to Legislative Decree 728.
Other topics covered are modernization and access in the justice system, the fight against drug trafficking, corruption and terrorism, legislation linked to the Armed Forces, disaster risk management, among others.
The agenda contains a total of 106 topics for bills that are included in four objectives and 35 State policies.
