Tempo status
In its report today, Indomet explained that the meteorological disturbance with low potential to become a tropical cyclone is still present near Puerto Rico.
This phenomenon, together with a trough at altitude, has caused persistent cloudiness, intense rains at times, electrical storms and gusts of wind in various locations in the northwest, north, northeast regions and the Cibao Valley.
Authorities predict that these rains will continue during the next hours and afternoon, and the system is expected to move westward, extending its impact to other provinces of the country. Among the areas that could be affected are Pedernales, Barahona, Bahoruco, Independencia, San Juan, Azua, Elías Piña, Dajabón, Monte Cristi, Peravia, San Cristóbal, San José de Ocoa and Greater Santo Domingo.
