Starting November 1the adoption of this measure by commercial establishments will be mandatory. This implies that receipts and some equivalent documents will have to be issued digitally.
From Siigo, a platform dedicated to this type of billing, it has been explained that “It must be kept in mind that, if the business is among those selected by the Dian, it can choose what mechanism or software to use to invoice electronically and comply with what is established by law.”

Change in cinemas
According to the resolution 008 of 2024which establishes the deadlines for the implementation of the measure, the documents that must be issued digitally include movie tickets. This means that those who purchase a ticket will be able to receive it in this format.
It is important to note that companies like Cinema Colombia, Cinemark or Cinepolis They have already been adopting this adjustment with the generation of QR codes, which are presented when entering the room to verify the purchase of the ticket.
Please note that this is not the only document that can be generated digitally. According to the resolution, invoices for public receipts, transportation tickets (air or land), bank statements, tickets for entertainment events and the receipt issued for toll collection are also included here.
