The Dominican Republic Navy reported this Saturday that it recovered the body of a fisherman who had been reported missing on Tuesday, October 29.
The body of Cándido Javier Polanco was recovered on the “Boca de Arroyo Salado” beach, in the María Trinidad Sánchez province, after intense search and rescue operations.
Polanco was located thanks to the collaboration of Civil Defense personnel and the tireless support of all the teams deployed in the area.
This operation highlights the response capacity and inter-institutional collaboration of the nation’s security and rescue forces, reaffirming the commitment to protect and serve the population in the event of any emergency, says a statement from the Dominican Navy.
