They capture 5 gang members involved in the San Luis jewelry store assault

Santo Domingo.- The National Policestated that, in coordination with the Public Ministry, they captured five members of a gang that on October 28 attacked the “Argenis Oro” jewelry store in the community of San Luis, Santo Domingo Este, stealing clothing and cash.

After the assault, the criminals fled in a gray Ford SUV with a license plate.

As part of the investigation, 36 raids have been carried out, 26 people have been interviewed and 12 cell phones have been seized, in addition to eight vehicles of different makes and models being seized.

The National Police reported that, through judicial arrest warrants and raids on their residences, the following were detained: David Polanco Castillo (alias “El Poli”), Pedro Luis Hernández Obispo (alias “El Gordo”), Manuel Argenis Morfe Lima, Nicolás Diroche (aka “Naríz”) and Yoryina Beato García (aka “La Rubia Gorda”). The detainees will be brought to justice in the next few hours.

The raids were carried out in Boca Chica, Guerra, Capotillo, 27 de Febrero, Villa Consuelo, Los Bajos de Haina, San Cristóbal and other sectors of Santo Domingo Oeste.

Details of the assault

The investigations established that five individuals got out of a gray Ford Explorer SUV with license plate PP455054, dressed in clothing similar to that of the DNCD.

Two of them carried long weapons (rifles) and three carried short weapons (pistols). After committing the assault, they fled in the vehicle and shot into the air. Three shell casings were found at the scene.

Fugitives

The National Police also reported that the search for fugitives Santiago Alexis Pérez (alias “Chavo”), Junior Samuel González Núñez (alias “Nuno”), José Luis Sano Gómez (alias “El Haitiano”), Alejandro Samboy Genao ( alias “Breily”), José Miguel López (alias “Carnaval”), Joel Andrés Samboy Regalado (alias “Joel Capotillo” or “Cartucho”) and Ángelo Omar Puello (alias “Anyelo”). These are recommended to surrender by the means they consider appropriate.
