Without giving further details, President Claudia Sheinbaum confirmed her participation in the summit of the countries with the 20 largest economies in the world, the G-20, to be held on November 18 and 19 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Likewise, he announced that due to scheduling complications it would be difficult for him to go to the United States to receive the prize conferred by the Sustainability Nobel Trust, so he will most likely send a representative.

In his morning conference, he affirmed that even if there is criticism, Mexico will maintain its humanitarian aid to Cuba, in the context of the electricity crisis it faces. He recalled that Mexico has historically supported the island since the blockade was imposed by the United States, because it is a measure that impacts the Cuban people.

Asked if Mexico delivered 400,000 barrels of oil to the Havana government, the president said she was not clear about the amount granted, but in her case, to have the context, Pemex extracts between 1.6 and 1.8 million barrels daily. so it’s not even a day’s production. Just to balance the number, right? But, even if there is criticism, we are going to be supportive for humanitarian reasons.

Regarding the award that was awarded to him, he explained that he will attend the G-20 Summit in Brazil, and will return the same day it ends, to be present at the commemorative ceremony of the Mexican Revolution. However, he pointed out that a meeting with businessmen and a representative of the German government is scheduled for November 21 to talk about investments.

For this reason, he hinted that his attendance will depend on being able to modify the date of that meeting: If we can move that to the 20th in the afternoon, as we had agreed about three months ago. So, I’m not sure I can go on the 21st, but we will be sending someone on our behalf..

She highlighted that beyond the award that was granted to her for her support for sustainability, as an academic and as head of Government, the most important thing for her is to serve the people of Mexico. It’s a privilege.
