With the arrival of another edition of Black Friday, Procon-SP expands its service to consumers this month, with the installation of stations in neighborhoods of the capital and in the interior of the state. The agency has also been monitoring, since October, the prices of 60 products on more than ten online store sites, to check that they are not increasing the value of items too much, then applying discounts and selling them as if it were worth buying them during the period. .
The service points were set up at Tatuapé (CPTM), Sacomã (Metrô) and Jabaquara (EMTU) stations, and will operate every Friday in November. The exception is on the 15th, the Proclamation of the Republic holiday, when the service will not be available, being transferred to the day before, Thursday (14th), from 9am to 4pm.
Consumers in the interior and coast will be able to seek guidance in Procon Móvel minibuses. The scheme of adopting Fridays as a public service day, from 9am to 4pm, is also valid in this case, as is the anticipation of service to the day before the holiday, with the opening of the Santos point, in the Gonzaga neighborhood.
Throughout the month of November, the organization will post on its social networkswith recommendations and tips that can help consumers identify suspicious websites and advertisements that seem like advantageous offers, but are not. Consumers will also be advised to beware of scams and abusive practices from stores.
Procon-SP sent communications to companies with many complaints registered with the body and entities representing suppliers, with suggestions on the conduct they should take to respect consumer rights and avoid a repeat of complaints made during Black Friday last year.
