National Party security advisor Victor Bjorgan announces support for Yamandú Orsi in runoff

During the event, Bjorgan stated: “As a white person, I come to say that I am going to vote for Yamandú” in the runoff on November 24.

Previously appointed to the interparty commission of social security specialists, Bjorgan explained that this issue is central to his priorities. He argued that Orsi is “the best candidate” to face the challenge, which influenced his decision to support his candidacy. “One of the things that convinced me about Yamandú is his capacity for dialogue,” he said.

In relation to Eduardo Bonomi’s management at the head of the Ministry of the Interior, Bjorgan reaffirmed his critical stance: “It was not good,” he said, maintaining a line of comments that he had already made in the past. Regarding the plebiscite on night raids, the former advisor acknowledged having voted in favor.

For his part, Orsi publicly thanked the support and revealed that if he becomes president, security will be a priority. He also highlighted that an eventual Broad Front government would have “many people making up the security team,” and stated that the complexity of the issue requires a plural approach: “you don’t solve it with one or two,” he stated.

After the conference, the left-wing presidential candidate published on his social network account No one has to leave their party membership to truly build a government of National Unity. Thank you Victor.
