The Minister of Production, Science and Technological Innovation of the province of Buenos Aires, Augusto Costa, indicated that, within the framework of the Pre-Trip program, one hundred thousand tourists will travel during the carnival weekend.

“Thanks to PreViaje, during this carnival weekend, 100,000 tourists will be mobilized in the province, generating a consumption of $3 billion,” the minister said on his Twitter account.

The provincial official’s statements were made after the meeting he held today with the Nation’s Minister of Tourism and Sports, Matías Lammens.

“In the best season of the last 10 years, I met with Matias Lammens”, said Costa and added: “This record summer could not have been possible without all the tools that were carried out from the Nation and the Province”.

According to the monitoring of tourism in the provincial territory, about 8.5 million people have already enjoyed Buenos Aires destinations since December 1, 36.7% more than in the 2020/21 summer season; 7.5% more than in 2019/20; 15.4% more than in 2018/19; and 9% more than in 2017/18.
