During the All Saints holiday, the work of prosecutors in the nine departments of the country must be guaranteed to the population, that was the instruction issued by Attorney General Róger Mariaca.

The regulations indicate that the fDepartmental prosecutors must take the necessary precautions and actions to guarantee the uninterrupted work of the Public Ministry at the national level.

“As Public Ministry we will continue working on holidays Because this is what the regulations require, in the event of a complaint the prosecutor is informed and he, immediately, within 24 hours, has to inform the judge so that all acts have the corresponding jurisdictional control. All departmental prosecutors must issue the guidelines to their Subject Prosecutors. “We will be attentive to any criminal act,” Mariaca assured.

The instructions issued by the State Attorney General add that each departmental prosecutor mustto develop a shift role so that its prosecutors, doctors from the Forensic Investigation Institute (IDIF), as well as support staff and officials from the Victim and Witness Protection Unit (Upavt), work permanently starting this Friday, November 1, until the conclusion of the festival, according to the particularities of each department in order to guarantee uninterrupted attention.
