Maduro: Cuba deserves to choose its path and has earned that right

The president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, affirmed today that Cuba deserves and has earned the right to choose its path to develop in peace and with total freedom, reports Prensa Latina.

“Today, for the thirty-second opportunity, 187 countries raise our voices in the General Assembly of the United Nations, to demand the lifting of American sanctions,” said the dignitary on his Instagram account.

In a message addressed to the Cuban president, Miguel Díaz-Canel, and the historical leader of the Revolution, Army General Raúl Castro, the head of the Bolivarian State expressed his solidarity and willingness to continue opening paths.

Likewise, creating formulas that “allow us to advance in the search for concrete solutions, and lead us to the comprehensive well-being of our nations.”

A new world is possible and free peoples will build it, Maduro stressed.

Yván Gil: a historical injustice

The Venezuelan Foreign Minister, Yván Gil, on the same platform wrote that, like every year, the world expressed “its firm rejection of the historical injustice implied by the economic, commercial and financial blockade of the United States against Cuba,” which extends for more than six years. decades.

Gil stated that Washington finds itself increasingly isolated in a world that abhors such colonial practices.

Arreaza: they support the blockade of Cuba and the genocide of Palestine

The executive secretary of ALBA-TCP, Jorge Arreaza, declared that the only two votes against the UN General Assembly resolution to lift the economic and commercial blockade against Cuba were those of the United States and Israel.

“The same two countries responsible for the genocide against the Palestinian people,” he stressed.

Arreaza pointed out that this constitutes further proof that “these two countries are at war against humanity.”

Humanity will prevail!, remarked the diplomat.

For the thirty-second consecutive time, the world community supported this Wednesday with 187 votes in favor, two against and one abstention, the draft resolution presented by Cuba against the economic, commercial and financial blockade.
