Coronavirus in Uruguay: 4,136 new cases, 13 deaths and 132 patients in ICU

Uruguay registered this Thursday 4,136 new cases of coronavirus out of a total of 13,701 tests, according to the National Emergency System (Sinae).

What’s more, there were 13 deaths in the last 24 hours of patients with covid-19, who were between 62 and 95 years old. Since the health emergency was declared on March 13, 2020, there have been 6,932 deaths diagnosed with the disease in Uruguay.

There are 29,739 active cases across the country and 132 people are in intensive care centers, according to the official report. Of the total number of positive cases currently undergoing the disease, 449 correspond to health personnel.

Of the 4,136 new cases, 1,905 are from Montevideo, 556 from Canelones, 200 from Maldonado, 169 from Colonia, 165 from Tacuarembó, 155 from San José, 138 from Florida, 104 from Paysandú, 99 from Lavalleja, 93 from Salto, 89 from Cerro Largo, 81 from Treinta y Tres, 79 from Artigas, 71 from Rivera, 62 from Durazno, 56 from Rocha, 43 from Soriano, 38 from Río Negro and 33 from Flores.

All departments report infected people this Thursday, and Montevideo leads in number of assets, with 14,156. follow him cannelloni (4,793), Cologne (1,432) and Maldonado (1,261).
