Senator Cynthia López Castro announced yesterday that she is leaving her 21-year membership in the PRI and leaving the party bench for differences with the leadership, this in the midst of the controversy that arose early on Friday when he left the plenary hall to not vote on the reform that prevents the filing of amparos and any other legal remedy against constitutional reforms.

She did not want to specify whether she would join Morena, she said that for now she will remain a legislator without a party, she insisted that she did not vote because she felt in poor health and rejected that she had previously consulted with Morena’s coordinator, Adán Augusto López Hernández. He also complained of being subjected to political lynching campaign on social networks since last Friday.

Later, the senator and leader of the PRI, Alejandro Moreno Cárdenas, revealed that López Castro was expelled from the moment in which, without any justificationleft the session hall and did not vote against, as was the agreement of the PRI group. By statute, he added, that fact warrants separation.

Alito He noted that López Castro had the right to an audience, but did not appear at the meeting of the PRI caucus, since he had previously publicly announced his separation from the PRI, so he was expelled from the party and the PRI group. He questioned whether he had left for health reasons. He went up to stand against the reform and then lefthe explained and gave an example to Senator Miguel Riquelme, who appeared in another key vote after a very delicate operation.

For her part, Senator López Castro insisted that her pressure increased, she felt bad and that is why she withdrew and no longer voted, but she said she was against this reform.

He insisted that he is leaving the ranks of the PRI because He no longer agrees with that party, nor does he feel comfortable. In any case, he said, he will continue to represent the rights of his voters.
