“Secretary Marcelo Ebrard’s instruction is to work closely with our partners in North America,” said Undersecretary Gutiérrez.
The US government considered it a “very good sign” that the government of President Claudia Sheinbaum has sent its commercial team less than a month into its administration, the Ministry of Economy (SE) reported in a statement.
“We will work to consolidate North America as a region that protects its workers, that supports its producers and which is strengthened to be the most competitive block in the world,” said Luis Rosendo Gutiérrez.
The T-MEC establishes that “on the sixth anniversary of the entry into force of this treaty, the Commission will meet to carry out a joint review ” of its operation. Furthermore, it specifies that “each party can provide for the Commission to take measures, at least one month before the meeting of joint review”.
