Congressman Paul Gutiérrez stands up for Movadef: his advisor signed a form for his registration

Paul Gutiérrez, del Bloque Magisterial, confirmó que Modesto Robles, que firmó el planillón de adherentes del Movadef, sigue trabajando como su asesor.

The congressman of the Magisterial Bloc, Paul Gutiérrez, in an interview with Peru21this afternoon, not only stood up for the Movadef terrorist group but also confirmed that it currently has Modesto Robles as an advisor, who signed the form of that Sendero Luminoso organization, in 2011, to register as a political party in the Jury National Elections (JNE).

Gutiérrez told this media that he “does not share” the ruling issued last Monday by the Fourth National Appeals Chamber of the Superior Court that determined that Movadef is the same as Sendero Luminoso, and also handed down sentences to 29 members of that terrorist organization, with sentences ranging from 16 to 25 years in prison.

This is an excerpt from the interview:

-Is it not clear to you that through the ruling, Movadef is equal to Sendero Luminoso?, we asked him.

-“What happened is that Movadef was acting as a political party, looking for adherents, signatures…That’s why I say: ‘Let a serious investigation be done,'” Gutiérrez replied.

-But, it has already been done, there is already a ruling that indicates that Movadef is a Shining Path structure, we responded.

-“It is a ruling that the Judiciary has given. I do not fully agree with that position, because they directly link, as they also do with Fenatep, with Conare at the time…I do not agree,” said the legislator.

At another time, Gutiérrez confirmed that—as revealed Peru21 last year—continues to have Modesto Robles as advisor II, who signed the Movadef form for registration in 2011.

THREE WORKERS OF THE TEACHING BLOCK ON THE MOVADEF REGISTRATION

Peru21 published, in November of last year, that three workers from the Teachers’ Block appeared on the Movadef payroll.

They are: Luis Dueñas, coordinator of Congressman Edgar Tello; Modesto Robles, advisor to legislator Paul Gutiérrez, and, also, a member of Perú Libre; and Raúl Vílchez, advisor to the bench, which is made up of teachers from Fenatep, a Movadef organization.

Gutiérrez, who is currently president of the Energy and Mines Commission, confirmed this afternoon that Robles continues to be his advisor.

Modesto Robles Quispe (55) began working in Parliament on September 7, 2023, but was assigned to the office of Congressman Paul Gutiérrez with the position of advisor II – in the same way, as trusted personnel -, with a not inconsiderable salary of S/9,110.61.

Robles admitted to this medium that he had signed the Movadef registry, but said that he did not know that his ideology vindicated the “Gonzalo” thought of the Shining Path leader, Abimael Guzmán. However, he pointed out that he is now a member of Peru Libre and rejected any connection with Movadef.

Congressman Gutiérrez defended himself and assured that he did not know that Robles had signed the list of Movadef adherents.

On the other hand, he was in favor of Dircote starting an investigation into Fenatep’s links with Movadef.

Regarding their links with Movadef, because together with Congressman Edgar Tello, today on the Podemos bench, they appear related to that terrorist group, in a Dircote report, from 2017, prepared in the management of the former Minister of the Interior, Carlos Basombrío , said that “those unions are false” because he was only a leader of the Sutep regional sector on that date.
