Evo Morales admitted that he uses vehicles owned by an executive of Petróleos de Venezuela (PDVSA) in Bolivia. These motorized vehicles are used by the former president in different protests, from marches to blockades. One of them – there are three that he uses – was in the shooting last Sunday in the tropics of Cochabamba. The opposition demands that the coca leader be suspended as leader of the Movement Towards Socialism (MAS) for having violated Law 1096 of Political Organizations, after confessing that he receives support from Venezuela.
Even the electoral member Tahuichi Tahuichi stated that the MAS could lose its legal status if it is proven that Morales receives financial support from the Venezuelan government.
Morales himself admitted that he uses Venezuelan-owned vehicles and said that Luis Arce was aware of this use, since in a meeting “abroad” they talked about this topic.
“A meeting outside. Lucho (Arce) was there. There were some colleagues from Venezuela, Cuba and, with the knowledge of Lucho (Arce), Venezuela lends me the two mobilities for security reasons“Morales said yesterday on radio Kawsachun Coca.
Last Sunday, when Morales reported an attempt on his life, he fled from his alleged attackers in a van that, he claimed, was hit by four bullet wounds. In the video he published he shows taking a second motor vehicle, a van, which suffered another 14 shots, as he later showed when arriving at his destination.
According to the Government’s version, Morales and his companions refused to submit to an anti-drug operation on the highway to Villa Tunari. Even the Government Minister, Eduardo Del Castillo accused Morales of having used firearms against police
Morales regretted that now his detractors are alarming the population or, where appropriate, distorting the information. “The first year a classmate from Santa Cruz lent me the loan. After a year I returned it to him and then, the second and third year, he lent me this car,” said the coca grower leader, who He assured that he did not have the resources to buy these vehicles..
PDVSA executive
One of the vehicles used on Sunday morning by Morales, with license plate 3009 DFI, belongs to Miguel Ángel Lozano Delgado, president of the Venezuelan oil company in Bolivia. In addition, the van used by the head of the MAS in his last march to La Paz along with his followers, also belonging to Lozano Delgado and which was later transferred to a 21-year-old girl.
In September, former Minister of Justice Iván Lima revealed that the vehicle in which former President Morales traveled during his march It was bought by PDVSA and then sold at a low price to the 21-year-old girl. Days before, the head of Government, Eduardo Del Castillo, denounced that the young woman was the owner of the vehicle, whose mother had a sentence for drug trafficking.
Deputy Jairo Guiteras, from Comunidad Ciudadana (CC), demanded that Morales be suspended as leader of the MAS for having violated the Law 1096 of Political Organizationsafter confessing that he receives support from Venezuela, since the motor vehicles he uses belong to an executive of the Venezuelan state oil company.
“Evo Morales Ayma has violated the Law of Political Organizations, he has confessed to having received support in kind from Venezuela, this support in kind has not been declared and is sanctioned by said law.. Evo Morales must be suspended as leader of the MAS. We continue to move forward with the complaint and they silence us,” said Guiteras.
Meanwhile, member Tahuichi Tahuichi stated that, if a formal complaint is filed, in which it is stated that if there was a violation of the prohibitions indicated by the norm, one of the consequencesIt may be that the MAS loses its legal status.
“No institution, no political organization can receive support or economic subsidy from a foreign company. No political party, none. Under sanction of cancellation of legal status,” warned member Tahuichi Tahuichi.
The authority insisted that a complaint must be filed.
