Acoprovi highlighted that there are myths about real estate scams and the first is that it is not legally established companies with experience in the market and members of the entity that carry out scams in the property acquisition processes in the country.
The president of Acoprovi, Annerys Melendezstated that they are opportunists who enter the sector and, based on the lack of information from the acquirers, execute scams. He warned that these do not represent the generality of the sector.
He expressed that to face this situation the most important thing is truthful information, since real estate scams come from ignorance and can be avoided if buyers have the knowledge to not be deceived.
He recommended that first of all, purchasers should investigate whether the construction or promoter company is in a legally established union, know the reputation of the construction company, review ownership issues, and the names of the people to whom they will make bank deposits. Also evaluate the project and if it is in accordance with the market, that is, that the price is fair according to the area and what it offers.
Even knowing the permits of the project, opt for those that have a trust because they provide a guarantee. In addition, you can rely on a real estate agent or a lawyer
