Until now the value of the millionaire transaction is kept in reserve, but it is already a fact that the transnational Yummy bought Yaigo, the new company of “delivery” or home delivery of products. “It is the greatest success of a Bolivian startup,” celebrated Ariel Valverde, CEO and co-founder of the application.

The executive told Page Seven Digital that the details of this milestone will be announced this Friday, however, it revealed that the Bolivian firm with a presence in Paraguay and other nations was “acquired by Yummy”, a “delivery startup with a presence in Venezuela, Peru and Chile”.

“Now, with us, Bolivia and Paraguay add,” he said.

The Venezuelan platform Yummy processes more than 340,000 monthly transactions in that country and continues to grow. Yaigo, in a similar position, registers records in sales and downloads of its application.

Yaigo (You Ask I Go, for its acronym in English) broke into the national market in 2019, but the pandemic accelerated its success thanks to its innovative business model that not only brings food to homes, but also other products and services.

Business

What is the scope of the business? Valverde prefers to keep the data in reserve due to the confidentiality of the agreement, but he was encouraged to slip that “to date it is the highest sale of a Bolivian startup” and the transaction reaches “eight digits”.

After the new agreement, the founders of Yaigo will be part of Yummy with a percentage of shares and will take over the operations of Bolivia and Paraguay.

The news has come like an avalanche to the group of Bolivian entrepreneurs who know that this is the beginning of a long journey of success for Bolivian startups that are in the market and for which they are born in the midst of dreams.

“We can achieve great things! I invite you to dream big, work hard and trust our talent as a Bolivian. We can be those generators of news in the Latam region and not just read them, ”he stressed.
