Following the evidence presented by the Public Ministry, Richard Eligio Alejo Cuenca (51) was sentenced to serve 26 years in prison for committing a sexual act against his 15-year-old daughter in the state of Lara, the institution reported through from a press release.
This fact was detected on July 6, 2023, when the victim’s mother went to the headquarters of the Bolivarian National Police (PNB). to denounce the teenager’s father.
That day, the victim told a cousin that her father forced her to have intimate encounters when he took her to his family’s house in Carora. (capital of the Autonomous Torres municipality). This situation had been happening repeatedly for three years.
Subsequently, the teenager’s cousin told what happened, and consequently, they went to the headquarters of the Bolivarian National Police (PNB) to file the respective complaint.
Given these circumstances, and once the pertinent assessments had been carried out, PNB officials formed a commission that went to the residence of the aggressor in the El Bolívar neighborhood of Barquisimeto where he was apprehended and placed at the disposal of the Public Ministry.
At the trial, the 16th Prosecutor’s Office of Lara ratified the accusation against Alejo Cuenca for the commission of a sexual act with a particularly vulnerable victim in continuous action.
Given the evidence presented by the prosecutor’s representation, the 1st Trial Court for Crimes of Violence Against Women of that jurisdiction handed down the aforementioned sentence against the aggressor, and ordered his confinement in the Sergeant David Viloria Penitentiary Center, located in the city of Barquisimeto.
