Tax reform: Government economic team will announce adjustments

The economic team of Government will announce in the coming days the settings that will be carried out to raise funds for the works that were projected in the reform fiscal.

The official added: “Just as the country has moved forward with limitations prosecutors during the last four years, President Abinader will continue to do so.”

Review of the economy

Paliza reported that during this Advice of Ministers They reviewed the current economic profile of the Dominican Republic.

He highlighted that the reservations in the Central Bank exceed 14,000 million dollars, while the accumulated deficit until this week is just 1.4% of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) which, compared to the year before the same week, “we are at the same percentage” .

In addition, he reported that at the international level, the Dominican Republic has climbed positions in various indicators of transparency and justice. He mentioned that, according to the indices of Transparency International and the World Economic Forum, the country has improved 61 positions in justice29 in transparency and 40 in political stability.

Other achievements highlighted by the official include the advancement of 26 positions in mobility social31 in institutionality and 17 in regulatory quality.
