After the news was published by the newspaper Folha de S.PauloSuplicy, who is a former senator, went to social media to give more details of the situation. “I was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma in July and am undergoing immunochemotherapy treatment, under the care of Hematologist Dr. Celso Arrais and his team”, stated the parliamentarian. Suplicy says that he is maintaining his routine activities at the Legislative Assembly of the State of São Paulo, taking gym classes, and that the exams “already show good results”, but that, on medical recommendation, his public activities are restricted due to the low immunity caused by the disease.
