Recurrent Scheduled Pix becomes mandatory from this Monday

The Recurrent Scheduled Pix functionality became a mandatory service this Monday (28). As a result, financial institutions will have to provide the service mandatorily. The measure was determined in a resolution published by the Central Bank (BC), in December 2023 and updated in July this year.Recurrent Scheduled Pix becomes mandatory from this Monday

Pix Scheduled Recurrent allows anyone to schedule payments of the same value on a recurring basis, to hit the recipient’s account on the same day of each month.

The measure applies to the transfer of amounts to individuals and also to those who have a CNPJ (National Register of Legal Entities), such as self-employed professionals or companies, who will be able to receive the amounts on a scheduled basis.

The modality already existed, but it was practiced optionally by banking institutions. To carry out the Recurrent Scheduled PIX, the user must provide payment information when registering the recurrence.
