A few hours before it takes place today, starting at 10:00 am, the sentencing hearing of the Movadef leadership and its members, the former head of the Dircote, Colonel Max Anhuamán, and José Luis Gil, former member of the Special Intelligence Group (GEIN), agreed yesterday, separately, in communication with Perú21, that there is material, testimonial, documentary and audio and video recordings that corroborate that this organization is a Shining Path terrorist group.

According to Gil, one of the main pieces of evidence against Movadef in the trial of the so-called Perseo case is the construction plan of Sendero Luminoso, which was seized from the extinct terrorist and leader of Sendero Luminoso, Abimael Guzmán, and Florindo Eleuterio Flores, alias ‘Artemio ‘.
ABIMAEL ORDERED TO CREATE IT
The aforementioned plan to which Gil refers is a document found in Guzmán, titled Party Construction Plan, from November 2008, which verbatim indicates the order to create Movadef. “In the immediate future (2008), work for the construction of the support and defense guidelines for political prisoners and prisoners of war still imprisoned and those already released still in persecution. In one year (2009) form an organized committee and in two years (2010) Convention that forms it as an organization (…) 5. Promote and develop the Movement (…) 7. In perspective to work for the pro-amnesty Movement,” the document states .
For Gil, this shows that “it is the new order or provision that Abimael Guzmán gave during his imprisonment so that the terrorist organization, called the Communist Party of Peru-SL, continues its strategic development. “The Judiciary has no justification to acquit any of the people who were seized and prosecuted.”
Colonel Anhuamán, for his part, indicated that the sentence will give the green light so that “all those who champion Abimael Guzmán’s ‘Gonzalo thought’ are arrested for wanting to persist and undermine democracy.”
This will also allow, according to the former police chief, the investigations into Fenatep, Ratio Juris and all related organizations, such as CNUL and other groups, to continue, because “they are always the same and the thought is unique.”
In summary, throughout the oral trial it has been determined, according to the prosecutor’s accusation, that the creation of Movadef is due to the execution of fundamental policies issued by the Central Committee of Sendero Luminoso since 1993, since the creation of the Movement for Amnesty and Fundamental Rights (Movadef) is part of the strategic plans of the terrorist organization Sendero Luminoso for its “reconstitution” or regrouping.

Baella: “The investigation began in 2012”
The former head of the Dircote, retired general José Baella, explains how the investigation against Movadef began.
“Operation Perseus was carried out in 2014, but this investigation began in 2012. A team effort with the Specialized Prosecutor’s Office, to search for indications and evidence that allowed us to postulate that the members of Movadef belong to the organization. terrorist Sendero Luminoso (SL). According to article 5 of decree law 25475, abundant documentation, protected witnesses, undercover agents, legal wiretaps, etc. were collected. The importance lies in pointing out that Sendero Luminoso changes its strategy and establishes the creation of the Shining Path. Movadef, which is the same SL. This, for three reasons: 1) because it has the same ideology, Marxism, Leninism, Maoism, and ‘Gonzalo Thought’; 2) because there is a plan devised by the leadership of Sendero Luminoso to create Movadef; ; and 3) by legal wiretapping where the coordination of Movadef members for the registration of this group as a political party is evident.”
