Teachers from the National Coordinator of Education Workers (CNTE) called for a mobilization of tired feet on October 30, within the framework of the meeting they will have with President Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, as well as a work stoppage.

In order to define a new action plan and the agenda of topics that will be presented at the meeting with both the President and the Secretary of Public Education, Mario Delgado Carrillo, with whom they will have a meeting today, the National Political Directorate and the Commission The Single National Negotiation Committee held a meeting yesterday and also held the session of its National Representative Assembly.

When installing the assembly, the leader of section 22, Yenny Aracely Pérez Martínez, stressed that the CNTE has remained firm and in unity for almost 45 years, and warned that the tables they have scheduled for this week They cannot continue to be only tables for dialogue with the government, but they must establish the political position of the organization that bears the blood of this struggle, of political prisoners and disappeared people. We have to be clear at the tables, if we do not advance we will have to take to the streets in unity and in a unified struggle.

In an interview, Pedro Hernández Morales, general secretary of the dissident teachers of section 9 of Mexico City, highlighted that central issues were discussed such as the demand for the total repeal of the Penyista educational reform, and the labor exception regime in which education workers continue, as well as the repeal of the ISSSTE Law of 2007 and the so-called Usicamm Law (General Law of the System for the Career of Teachers), among others.

The teacher leader also denounced that in Mexico City the leadership of the National Union of Education Workers (SNTE) is deploying a new strategy to make a splash in the election of union delegates by school zone.

He assured that without respecting the previous 15 days to announce a call, they began to notify some schools, even with documents that they slip under the door, so that on October 30 they hold union assemblies by school zone, in total violation of what the statutes establish.

Hernández Morales, indicated that in a meeting with the head of the Federal Educational Authority of Mexico City, Luciano Concheiro, We expressed our rejection of these charril practices, and he assured us that he does not agree with them, so we hope that today the official notice will be issued that the holding of said assemblies in schools is not authorized..

He added that the determination as dissident teachers of section 9 is that We are going to participate with a form in each of the assemblies. We are not going to allow a mess in the election of our union representation.

For this reason, he explained that despite being summoned at nine in the morning on October 30 to march from Ángel to the Zócalo, within the framework of the negotiation table with the President, The decision is that the comrades participate in their election process, and then join the protests.

The leader of more than 40 thousand education workers at the preschool, primary and special education levels in the capital, estimated that at least 200 delegation assemblies could be convened to elect an equal number of representatives, in particular, in school areas where the charro SNTE knows that there is a majority of teachers who are part of the National Coordinator of Education Workers.
