The Satena airline reported that due to drought conditions in the rivers used to transport aeronautical fuel to the city of Leticia, was forced to temporarily suspend several of its air routes to the Amazon region.

“The decrease in flow in these waterways has forced the operations of the tugboats that transport this input to stop, affecting the supply necessary for the scheduling of flights in these municipalities”Satena reported.
The suspension of operations includes the following routes:
● San José del Guaviare – La Chorrera
● La Chorrera – Leticia
● Leticia – La Pedrera
● La Pedrera – Leticia
● Leticia – Tarapacá
● Tarapacá – Leticia
● Leticia – La Chorrera
● La Chorrera – San José del Guaviare

These frequencies, which are regularly scheduled on Thursdays and Fridays, They will resume as soon as river conditions allow the restoration of fuel supply, thus ensuring safe and efficient operation.
