Former police officer accused of pyramid scheme against his colleagues for more than 10 million soles

Raimer Alejandro Quinto, a former Police agent, is accused by the Public Ministry as the head of a pyramid scheme against 300 people, which included police officers; from whom he deprived of at least 10 million soles.

The Sunday Fourth Estate revealed that the former police officer had invented having a natural plants called Natural Plantswhich he used to attract his colleagues and close people.

One of the victims was Windy Matta a non-commissioned officer who delivered 45 thousand soles to Quinto’s fraudulent company.

Another victim was Erick AvalosQuinto’s former teammate, who lost 70 thousand soles. Erick was promised to double his investment, but he ended up taking all the cash.

Alejandra Miranda, a mother of a police officer, handed over 50,000 soles after being convinced by the successful appearance and the testimonies of her colleagues.

Quinto used the same modality with all the victims. False promises of interest and official contracts led to “investors” to give their profits to further increase their money, instead of withdrawing them, which facilitated the scam in a pyramid structure.
