Nelin Escalante is an independent journalist from the Economy and Politics source. You have a program that is broadcast through your account on instagram. The reason for the arrest is unknown at this time.
After the presidential elections held on July 28, the country has recorded the arrest of six journalists (they are against Escalante), according to the registry of the National Union of Press Workers (SNTP).
More than a dozen journalists are arrested, before the elections, four journalists were detained while covering campaign activities. At least four of these were charged with the crime of “terrorism” after being caught while working in the midst of post-election protests against the results issued by the National Electoral Council (CNE).
