Since 1985 to date, democratic governments have succeeded one another, all presidents have ended their term at the head of the country in a climate of peace and citizens have cared for the high values of democracy. We are talking about Uruguay, a small country in South America, our country.
It started on the 27th and we are just a few hours away from the opening of the polls so that all citizens can vote conscientiously.
Democracy today has a special, pure air of freedom!
This Sunday the 27th at 8 a.m. the voting booths (a little more than 7,000 circuits) will be enabled in urban and rural areas throughout the country. Some 2,727,000 Uruguayans are entitled to vote, to choose freely.
1,745 lists are presented in the country. 96 will be in the department of Colonia, according to data from the Electoral Court. All the lists corresponding to each department must appear in the secret rooms and if any are missing, the citizen must inform the table members of their circuit, so that it can be replaced.
There are eleven presidential formulas. It must be kept in mind that this Sunday the eleven political parties compete separately.
