Santo Domingo East. – The Eastern Electricity Distributor (Edeeste) and the Deputy Attorney General for the Electrical System (PGASE) They reported the detection of electrical fraud in an ice factory located on Charles de Gaulle Avenue, near the intersection with the Mendoza highway.

During the operation, the authorities verified that the factory operated with illegal electrical connections, being connected directly to a bank of three-phase transformers outside the measurement system. This irregular connection allowed the factory to consume electricity without said consumption being recorded, as confirmed by Edeeste.

The Edeeste statement details that the ice and water factory had a large amount of three-phase equipment and machinery that worked with energy obtained illicitly, representing a clear case of electrical fraud.

Given this situation, the corresponding fraud report was drawn up and the pertinent legal measures were taken in coordination with the competent authorities.

This operation is part of Edeeste’s ongoing efforts to combat electrical fraud in its management area and ensure fair and regulated use of electrical energy.
