A delegation from the Comptroller General of the Republic (CGR) of Venezuela participated in the XXXIII Ordinary General Assembly of the Latin American and Caribbean Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (Olacefs); held at the Convention Center in Panama City, from October 21 to 25. The servants of the highest controlling body joined supervisory representatives from across the region to discuss and share experiences on best practices in fiscal control and government auditing.
On behalf of the CGR, the president of the Institute of Higher Studies of Fiscal Control and State Audit participated, Carlos Alegria; the general director of Information Technology, Julio Mendoza; the director of Technological Infrastructure and Computer Security, Julio González; and the director of Technical Communication Support, Alfredo Arias.
Representatives of the Venezuelan supervisory entity They reiterated their commitment to transparency and efficiency in public managementas well as in the fight against corruption and compliance with the objectives of the sustainable development project agenda. For his part, the comptroller general, Jhosnel Perazaextended his gratitude to Olacefs for organizing this event, while reaffirming its efforts to guarantee a more transparent and efficient public administration.
This annual event is a crucial platform for the knowledge exchange and cooperation between the fiscal control institutions of Latin America and the Caribbean. During the assembly, the Comptroller General of the Republic presented its progress in the implementation of innovative technologies for auditing and fiscal control.
