Santo Domingo. – The Ministry of Education regretted the death of a student who was beaten by his classmates in Barahona.
It is about Dawer Alexander Cuevas Feliz, who was studying secondary education at the Professor Carmen Alejandrina Marte de Nin Arts Educational Center, located in the municipality of Cabral, in Barahona.
Cueva Feliz died on October 22 at the Jaime Mota Regional University Hospital, after presenting with a fever that led to septic shock, DIC hypovolemic shock, pulmonary hemorrhage, extensive bilateral pneumonia, trauma multiple and Covid 19, as recorded in the death certificate issued by the Ministry of Public Health.
Four days before his death, the 16-year-old teenager was physically attacked by other fellow students within the educational center.
The institution ordered a thorough investigation of the case and is awaiting the results of the investigation. necropsy carried out by the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (INACIF).
